How to Edit or Delete a CNAME Record in cPanel

1. Login to cPanel.

2. Navigate to the Domains section and click on Zone Editor icon.

3. Go to the domain you want to add an A record from and click on the link “Manage”.

4. Navigate to where your CNAME record is. To make it easier, you can use filtering by name or clicking on the link “CNAME”. Then click on either of the actions: “Edit” or “Delete“.

If you choose to edit, the fields in that row will change to textboxes where you will fill your CNAME record details. Click the button “Save Record” to store the changes.

If you wish to delete the CNAME record, click on “Delete” link and a popup will appear asking you to confirm deletion. Click on the button “Continue”.
